![]() With metadata.txt being something like that: ![]() I have tried the following command line: "C:\Program Files\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe" -analyzeduration 1G -probesize 1G -fix_sub_duration -playlist 00001 -i "bluray:D:\Daten\Temp\My Blu-Ray Disc" -i metadata.txt -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:2 -map_metadata 1 -codec copy c:\Users\User\Desktop\result.mkv It would be nice if this extra step wasnt needed. It accepts any MKV files, no matter theyre shot by camcoders, ripped from DVD/Blu-ray, saved from online or exported from video editors. To reduce the file sizes, I have been putting the files produced by MakeMKV though ffmpeg to transcode and recompact the files. The easiest way to convert MKV to MP4, is to copy the existing video and audio streams and place them into a new container. A Blu-Ray disc can typically produce a 40-50GB file, and a DVD can produce a 4-7GB file. Then go to the Video tab, choose the Video Codec as H.264 (your hardware) or H.265 (your hardware) for encoding video to a small size with a fair quality (See their difference: H.264 vs H.265) > Finally, click Start Encode to start the Blu-ray to MKV conversion. My only beef with MakeMKV is that the files it produces are very, very big. how do I resize a video to half without specifying a width or height Lets say I have a video that is 1230圆92, normally, if I want to resize the video to half, Id do this: ffmpeg -i 'input.mkv' -filter:v scale615:-1 -c:a copy 'output.mkv'. FFMPEG RESIZE MKV BLU RAY HOW TOTherefore I'd like to know how to change the command line so that the chapter title metadata is inserted into the MKV file in one go during the first conversion. Under the Summary tab, select MKV from the Format options. Since the files sometimes are about 40 GB, this causes a non-negligible wear for the disks. I am aware that I can add chapter titles to the MKV file after it has been created. However, I am looking for a way to add chapter titles (metadata) to the resulting MKV file directly along with the initial conversion in one go. Step 3 And then, open the command prompt on your computer. Right-click your file and go to the Properties. Step 2 Before using FFmpeg to video resize, you first need to determine your video's format and name. FFMPEG RESIZE MKV BLU RAY INSTALLTo install this program, you need to have an administrator account. FFMPEG RESIZE MKV BLU RAY DOWNLOADI normally use ffmpeg under Windows in a command line like the following: "C:\Program Files\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe" -analyzeduration 1G -probesize 1G -fix_sub_duration -playlist 00001 -i "bluray:D:\Daten\Temp\My Blu-Ray Disc" -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:2 -codec copy c:\Users\User\Desktop\result.mkv Step 1 On your computer, download and install FFmpeg. From time to time, I have to convert the files which are referenced by a playlist from a blu-ray disc to a MKV file. ![]()
